WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

2013 – 2016: Freelance Illustrator, The Fat President Art, Buffalo, NY

Maintenance and content creation for a self-driven online media and comic creation. Commissioned work, and original content produced and distributed continuously.

 

2014 – 2015: AmeriCorps VISTA, Outreach, Inc., Des Moines, IA

Worked as part of a team on the Outreach, Inc. Hunger-Free Iowa Initiative. Created original designs, logos, and content for the web, social media, and print media. Developed marketing strategies, as well as funding methods, and grant writing to create sustainability and build capacity to ensure the longevity of the initiative.

 

2013: Drawing Tutor, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY

Instructed St. Lawrence University students on the basic tenants of drawing.

 

2013: SLU Fellowship Recipient, St. Lawrence University

Worked alongside English Chair, Sid Sondergard creating original comics, graphic narratives and explicative essays exploring illustration as a narrative form culminating in a collected work and various presentations.

 

2012: Print Shop Intern, Lower East Side Print Shop, New York, NY

Aided Master Printers in the printmaking process. Cleaned, shot, and set up screens for printing as well as aided in packaging and delivering prints to framers, buyers, galleries and artists.

 

2012 - 2015: Graphic Designer, Student Government, St. Lawrence University

Created and marketed orginal graphic materials for student lead clubs and organizations. 

 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

 

2017: Professor of Record, Art 250 – Intro to Digital Practices, University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY

Lesson planned, instructed, and guided students in introductory digital art practice ranging from composition and

layout to sound design and graphic interfacing.  

                                    

2016: Professor of Record, Art 111 – Fundamentals of Drawing, University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY

Lesson planned, instructed, and guided students in introductory drawing practices including understanding materials, composition, history, critical analysis, and basic concepts of figure drawing.

Instructed free art classes for the Buffalo community focusing on illustration, life drawing, and narrative artwork.
